FAQs
What is That’s a Wrap?
That’s a Wrap is a Boston-based, women-owned fashion house creating sustainable luxury wrap skirts and accessories. Each piece is made-to-order from viscose, a plant-based fabric celebrated for its fluid drape and breathability. We design for women who value timeless elegance, conscious living, and effortless confidence.
Why wrap skirts?
The wrap skirt is a timeless silhouette — versatile, flattering, and empowering. It transitions seamlessly from day to night, season to season, boardroom to beachfront. It’s the ultimate wardrobe staple for women who want fewer, better pieces.
What fabric are your skirts made from?
Our skirts are crafted from viscose, a luxury plant-based fabric often called vegan silk. We chose viscose for its soft sheen, elegant drape, and breathability — it feels as good as it looks, and it ages beautifully with care.
Are your fabrics sustainable?
Yes. Our viscose is responsibly sourced, and our made-to-order model eliminates overproduction. We create only what is chosen, ensuring zero deadstock waste. This is slow fashion at its most intentional.
How do I care for my wrap skirt?
To preserve your skirt:
Wash cold or hand wash.
Line dry to protect fibers.
Steam lightly for drape.
Store folded rather than hung for longevity.
With proper care, your skirt will remain a wardrobe cornerstone for years.
How do your wrap skirts fit?
Wrap skirts are naturally adjustable. Each skirt ties at the waist for a customizable fit, adapting to your body’s natural changes. If you’re between sizes, we recommend sizing down — the wrap will always give you room.
Do you offer custom sizing?
Yes. Because every skirt is made-to-order, we can accommodate bespoke sizing requests. Simply note your measurements at checkout or contact us directly.
What does “made-to-order” mean?
It means we only produce a skirt once it has been purchased. No overproduction, no wasted inventory, no landfills. Each piece is crafted just for you, ensuring exclusivity and sustainability.
How long will my order take?
Most skirts are ready to ship within 2–3 weeks. Each piece is handmade in Boston with care — true luxury takes time.
Do you ship internationally?
No, we only ship within the US at this time. Contact us if you are outside the US and are interested in purchasing a skirt to see if we can find a solution.
What is your return policy?
We accept returns within 14 days of delivery for unworn, unwashed items in original condition. Because each piece is made-to-order, we encourage you to contact us with questions before purchasing.
Why is made-to-order more sustainable?
Traditional fashion overproduces billions of garments that never get worn, often ending up in landfills. Our made-to-order model ensures that every skirt has a home from the start. This is how we cut waste to near-zero.
Where are your skirts made?
Every That’s a Wrap skirt is made in Boston by skilled local seamstresses. We believe in keeping craftsmanship close to home, supporting women artisans, and ensuring fair pay.
Are your skirts vegan?
Yes. Our viscose is plant-based, and we avoid animal-derived materials.
How do I style a wrap skirt?
The possibilities are endless:
With a blazer and heels for the office.
With sandals and a tee for weekends.
With a silk camisole for evening.
Over swimwear for resort chic.
Our blog, The Wrap Up, is filled with seasonal styling inspiration.
Can I wear a wrap skirt year-round?
Absolutely. Viscose is breathable for summer, but can be layered with tights, boots, and knits in winter. A true all-season investment piece.
Do you offer wholesale or collaborations?
